i also had a 760 which upgraded to a rx 480 now, check for used 980 or 1060

Next year current GPUs will be cheaper too, what's your point?

Yes but you could get a 1070 for less than what a 970 goes for right now...

Not likely. Performance will be higher on the 1070 which will keep its value for longer.

Your statement confuses me.  The gtx 1070 sits in the EXACT same spot the 970 did last gen.  In 1 year Volta (and the 2070) will be out and the 1070 will fall into the market segment the 970 currently sits in.

I'm thinking of getting another 1070 to help run compute tasks, I run an mATX pc w/a custom loop (so excited for the last parts to come in!) but if I could put one on the bottom with either a single slot blower or waterblock (maybe just get a new mobo) it would be pretty sweet.
