Estimated Value of Laptop

Hi all, I would first like to apologize if this isn't in the correct thread. Recently I bought a laptop (Sager NP8157) and I generally do like it, however, I don't think it fits my needs. I bought the laptop with the intention to travel with it, however, it lacks in that department as it has a short battery life (~3 hours), a bad trackpad, and just a bulky design in general. This was my first gaming laptop purchase so I made a few mistakes in what I should prioritize. I am most likely going to sell the laptop. I am by no means in a rush to sell that laptop, and I have months to find the right buyer. I am just curious what it is worth, and if I could get away with selling it and purchasing a new laptop or spending the money elsewhere. I paid about $2100 for it.

You can probably get around 1800-1900 for it. Advertise the 7820HK heavily as that thing can OC up to near 4.5ghz. Advertise the 1070 performs better than a 1080 Max Q overclocked.

How good are your overclocks? If you won the silicon lottery you might be able to get more for it.

The Potato Box:

AMD 5950X

EVGA K|NGP|N 3090

128GB 3600 CL16 RAM

The Scrapyard Warrior:

AMD 3950x

EVGA FTW3 2080Ti

64GB 3200 CL16 RAM

Nothing fantastic sadly. Maybe average.

you should take the SSDs with you, used SSDs are worth far less but it'd save you a lot when buying a new laptop. As long as they are m.2 SSDs your next laptop can use it as long as its not a thin and light that has no slots (like apple).
