Keyboard not working

Woofly94

I moved my racing setup around, and plugged my keyboard back in and it's not working, it keeps disconnecting then reconnecting and only 5 of the keys light up, none of the keys work, when I check it in devices it says Driver error, then disconnects, reconnects etc.

Keyboard is a K70

Edit: this seems to be happening to everything I have plugged into that USB Hub, everything connected to the hub keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, not working, it's a brand new hub not even a day old.

That's nonsense, I was using a smaller hub which was drawing power from the PC with everything on my setup and had no issues whatsoever, since I moved my setup around nothing is working they keep disconnecting, I'm using a 25W Powered Hub now, way more than enough to power everything on my setup.

And? I'm not sure what your point is, I only have 4 USB plugged into it, it's not related to the USB Hub, I plugged the keyboard directly to my PC and it still does it.

Just tried it on another PC, and same thing, it doesn't disconnect/reconnect, the lights just go bizarre again most of the lights aren't on and the ones that are, are going mad, I can type but the keys aren't the correct keys and only some of them work.

Edit: Everything apart from the mouse is not working, they're turned on but they don't work. My Fanatec wheel keeps disconnecting every time I try update firmware, it only disconnects and reconnects when trying to update firmware.

Yes, thanks for very helpful information, my keyboard worked fine 3 hours ago, so why would it break when nothing has happened to it, if you don't know the problem why comment? telling someone to RMA something because YOU don't know the problem is stupid, you come across ignorant.

try putting it into BIOS mode using the switch on the back, then back to normal. maybe that will work.

also, stuff breaks randomly sometimes, so IDK, it could legit be broken.

Oh yes, yes they do. Also, if your hub is 25W rated and there was a short somewhere.. well, sending 25V to a keyboard that at most should draw 2.5W may damage it.

It has short protection, it would shut itself off before it can damage my stuff, regardless I've RMA'd  it anyway.

Either way, if the only commonality is that you are now using a different hub and everything failing is on that hub, then either the hub is the problem or the port you have the hub plugged into is the problem.  See Occam's/Ockham's Razor.

Neither of those things, I think it just gave up.
