a i7 7700 and a graphics card.

NTDaws

so. before anyone thinks the opposite of what im going to do, i want future proofing. I do have a 1080p 60hz monitor Asus VP278 in case u were wondering. But I need your help, i like to use graphics mods, like really demanding in games like gta 5. Here are my choices 1070, 1080, or 1080ti. I am final on my i7. #futureproofthatshit.

with the 1080ti OP can get few more years than a gtx 1080, also future mods might be able to take advantage of the extra Vram.

1080 Ti would be the best for both future proofing and to use the power of that 7700.

future proofing normally id say 1080ti as the best scenario as i was under the same boat as you at one point in time with the 3 gpus'...

UNLESS......... you intend to upgrade to 4k60hz monitor in future OR 1440p gaming @ 144/165hz [which can be two pathways for you to tinker about], a 1070 shud do fine.

if you intend to upgrade the monitor in the future to either above in a year+ or so ^, then you'd most likely be served well with a 1080 or 1080ti...

i just feel 1080p60 1080/1080ti is wasted potential but thats just me . . .

as for ur power supply... i'd suggest probably gunning towards 650-750w personally. a little bit of headroom won't hurt. at least thatsa what i did for my system [relatively similar minus the K on the cpu]

CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K | Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z270H | Graphics Card: ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1080 Ti OCEdition | RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws V 3000MHz |Storage: 1 x Samsung 830 EVO Series 250GB | 1 x Samsung 960 PRO Series 512GB | 1 x Western Digital Blue 1TB | 1 x Western Digital Blue 4TB | PSU: Corsair RM750x 750W 80+ Gold Power Supply | Case: Cooler Master MasterCase 5 Pro |

Cooling: Corsair H100i v2 // 4x Corsair ML140 RED Fans // 2x Corsair ML120 RED Fans
---

Monitor: ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q 1440p 165Hz IPS G-Sync | Keyboard: Corsair K70 LUX Red LED, Cherry MX Brown Switches | Mouse: Corsair Glaive RGB | Speakers: Logitech Z623 THX Certified Speakers
