Alcohol cooled computer?

I think someone's had a bit too much beer on a Friday night! 

 

In any case not that would not work since it would get growth in the loop, if your talking about using ether or alcohols as a cooling fluid that is completely different.

Possible? Yes. Practical? Hell no.

If you had it running hot 24/7, used food grade tubing and made sure to keep the particulate ingredients in the res it could work.

Sure.

 

But why stop at brewing beer? That heat could be used for anything if you could find a way to extract it. Maximum PC used to grill little sausages on heat spreaders.

I'm actually seriously considering running my loop into a tub of water I can stick my feet into for maximum passive cooling and footwarming

Yaas, I live in a basement as well so my feet are always cold.  My other consideration is a copper coil under a rug, directly on the floor (super cold all year round)

Oh yeah. Basements are great in the summer, but not so much in the winter or without thick socks.

Make sure you have a i9-7900x in there for maximum foot warming potential.

Why not both, have alcohol in the tubes and have the heat dissipate into a tub of water?
