15:8 would be slightly wider than 16:9 but still way less than ultrawide.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

15:8 makes them look taller than 24:5, so it might be more confusing to the eyes at first, but it should be fine once you get used to it.

I'm more curious about how 3 16:10 monitors were arranged to get 24:5

1440x900=16:10

3x 1440x900=4320x900

4320x900=24:5

Ratios. They are all the same monitor.

Doesn't that router overheat like that?

Nope. It's an old 54G running DD-WRT.

Anyway, so 15:8 is wider than 16:9?

I'm more than fine with that, I was worried it'd be less wide.

15:8 = 15 horizontal pixels for every 8 vertical pixels = 1.875 horizontal pixels for every 1 vertical pixel (15 ÷ 8)

16:9 = 16 horizontal pixels for every 9 vertical pixels = 1.777 horizontal pixels for every 1 vertical pixel (16 ÷ 9)

15:8 is a bit wider than 16:9. For reference, ultrawides are around 2.4:1, and a single one of your monitors (1440×900) is 1.6:1.

see the post above, that's what I would have written but glenwing beat me to it :P

to add to that though, 3 vertical 16:10 monitors is far from a common configuration.  If you are doing gaming that spans them all, dont be surprised to come across a few games that don't like it
