Greetings.

I have an issue I have been trying to figure out, I am currently running a 1080Ti and a 980Ti as a Physx card with a 850W PSU, I am concerned if the PSU can handle another 1080Ti in SLI at full load.

Thanks anyway

so you're asking if 850 is enough for 2 1080Ti's and a 980Ti?

i don't think it will.

but why the physx card tough? cards these days can handle physx just fine. sometimes even better then a dedicated physx card!

Yeah no the 980Ti will be sold to a friend if I upgrade to the SLI setup

ooh that makes sense.

850 should handle 2 1080Ti's just fine. i think even a 650/700 PSU could handle it, but i might be stretching it a bit :P

are you sure because when I put my system in a Power draw calculator it comes out to over 900 Watts

those calculators are pretty inaccurate. my system with a Titan X and a 4960X only draws like 450Watts under load. you really should be fine!

That is a stretch. 1080 Tis go well into the 300W range ...

I am saying 650 would be 'hela' retarded and 700 would be a far stretch for a 1080 Ti SLI system. This is not meant to sound insulting.

EDIT: About the 850W PSU. That is about the minimum I would go for with SLI and probably not what I would personally be comfortable with running 1080 Tis on.

Just get rid of the 980 Ti.... I don't think it even makes sense as a Physx card as it uses so much power and PhysX is kinda worthless TBH

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
