Should I get AirPods?

So I have the Corsair VOID Wireless headphones. They aren't terrible. They are wireless, but I have a pair of Apple Earpods (The $30 wired ones) and the highs dont sound quite as good as the Void, but the lows are much better and I generally enjoy listening to the Earpods more. The thing is that they are still wired. I really like the Wireless part of the Voids. Right now I have a OnePlus 3  meaning that most of the airpod features wont work until I get iOS, but I plan on getting the iPhone 8 anyway. The thing is the iPhone 8 is rumored to start at $1000 and maybe more. If I buy the airpods, It'll be a lot harder to get the iphone 8. Second problem is that the iPhone 8 may not be on sale until 2018.

 

Here are my choices.

 

Get AirPods now.. Risk the chance that I because I spent money on headphones that I may be forced to settle on iPhone 6s Plus or iPhone 7s plus. 

 

Wait. Have bad headphones now. Risk the chance that iPhone wont even come out until 2018 or it will cost $1200+.

 

Dont get Airpods because they are trash. (if I don't get airpods, I want Wireless (or at least partially wireless.) Cost less than $160. Have active noise cancellation).

remember AirPods work with everything bluetooth, they just arent as cool or seamless on Android or Windows.

there will most likely be an iPhone 7s model so dont fret about pricing. Also dont forget the iPhone 7 will occupy the same place that the iPhone 6s does rn when the iPhone 8 and or 7s come out.

As I understand your point, I dont want the iPhone 8 because it has the latest camera or the fastest CPU. I want it because it looks really cool especially for an iPhone. I want an iPhone and with the iphone 8 with a bezelless OLED screen (possibility of 120hz like the iPad Pro) and 3D sensors its hard to not want it. Unless the iPhone 7s has 120HZ or something cool I'm totally fine with the iPhone 6s Plus as far as Speed and Camera quality is concerned.

Its possible that it could get the 120Hz, it would definitely be a way for Apple to set themselves apart from the competition. The 6s is still a solid phone and will be in 2018, which is a testament to Apple's support of their products. 

 

The only way to know is to wait until September. I would still get the AirPods lol. Customer satisfaction is through the roof!

Have you looked into the Jabra Move Bluetooth? Great quality, comfortable, and can be wired. 

 

Otherwise, I chose the first option.

There is your issue. You are buying 1k shit for looks and ask people to recommed you whether you should get wireless earphones for 150 bucks even though you might not be able to buy the cool looking phone then. I can not explain my issue very well here but my point is: You are not in a "idc about money"-state yet you buy a $1k device "just because".
About your actual question: if you like the earpods and have heard other headphones but still like them, Get them. I think you will lose allt he cool takin git out of the ear functionality but on of the best things baout them is the stellar batteryl life paired with the case imho. ...

I know how it goes. I don't think many have felt the freedom of zero tangles or getting caught on things which is a shame.

I didn't actually mean because it literally LOOKED cool. The iPhone 8 looks like a really good phone. I'm getting an iPhone, iPhones are low key ugly. If I wanted to LOOK cool i'd get the s8.

There are lots of IEM that are much better than airpods at $150 price mark. Look for Jaybird X3

But are they subjectively better. Audio is extremely subjective. He should have listened to anthing he orders before the purchase!

they may sound better, but they tend to lack the convenience and the ability to just connect to your device by flipping a lid

I've seen those. They're a little cheaper, but they seem to lack features.

I don't really have an option to try them out. Stores I go to don't let me try them.
