So I'm currently making a list for a gaming rig that I would like to make. I want it to be able to run basically any game at a decent fps, ideally capable of getting consistent 60 fps on new AAA 3D games at medium-high graphics. I don't care at all how it looks, so the case doesn't matter to me if it can comfortably fit everything. I also don't have a real interest in 4K. I'll only have 1 monitor but would like room to add an additional one.

My current parts list is: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4bFyzM

The 2 big things I'm not sure about are the motherboard and especially the RAM.

I already own a GTX 1060 so I'd like to use that. If there is something I don't know about and I basically need to buy a new graphics card, I will but I highly prefer to stick with what I have.

My budget is anywhere around 1000 USD, the highest I can go is 1500 but that would be pushing it and would need to last quite a while for anyone who can make a superior part list.

Thanks so much for going over this, I think it's fairly decent as is but could definitely use some improvements.

I wouldn't buy a K series processor and then tie it's hands behind its back with an H series mobo. The main point of a K series CPU is to be overclocked and only the Z170 and Z270 chipset boards allow that!

Also, why buy a mini-ITX motherboard? That limits your options in the future for expand-ability!

Plus, Ryzen 5 would meet his 60fps just fine. Even a Pentium nowdays would.

R5 over i5, stock cooler with Ryzen is fine (Or get a Cryorig H7, same price but a little better).

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

I don't personally have a Ryzen chip just yet, but they are definitely competitive, if not better, than Intel CPU's in some crucial categories!
