There's no single best fan. It's why there isn't just one available.

Depending on where the fan is being used, there are different designs that excel.

If you would like fan recommendations, list your specs, where you're planning to use the fans, where you're shopping/located, and your budget.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

I mean, Silent wings meet at least aestethics and noise IMO (you see it is a subjective thing, for instance I don't need bling fans), maybe the noctuas shuffle a bit more air, but I think the silent wings are a good compromise of noise and performance.

Well, I'm looking for a led fan, (red) and it has to be good looking and good performance and it has to be 120mm. Also I do HEAVY gaming (5-10 hours a day) and just school work in general.

Noctua industrialPPC fans

"Make it future proof for some years at least, don't buy "only slightly better" stuff that gets outdated 1 year, that's throwing money away" @pipoawas

-Frequencies DON'T represent everything and in many cases that is true (referring to Individual CPU Clocks).

Mention me if you want to summon me sooner or later

Spoiler

My head on 2019 :

Note 10, S10, Samsung becomes Apple, Zen 2, 3700X, Renegade X lol

The Hyper 212 EVO seems to be a good choice. It's quieter than AMD's Wraith Cooler and great for overclocking.

Maybe it's just me but the Silent Wings 3 sound terrible imho. The buzzing noise they emit thanks to their three phase motor design is terrible! Noctua's iPPC fans are affected by this issue too.

There is no "best" fan. It all boils down to your preferences. Maybe the new 120mm Noctua fan will be the "best" fan. Who knows!
