This is my first build, and I just wanted some last minute advice before buying the parts.

CPU: i7 7700k

Cooler: Corsair H100i v2

Motherboard: MSI - Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon

RAM: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 Memory

Storage: Samsung 500GB SSD

Storage: Toshiba 3TB 7200RPM HDD

GPU: GTX 1080ti founders edition

PSU: EVGA - 750W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Case: be quiet! - Silent Base 800 Orange ATX

Monitor: ROG Swift

With a Keyboard and Headphones, this build comes to about $3050 and this is about the price I wanted with by budget. I live in the US. I am going to be using this computer for Gaming, 3d modeling (AutoCAD Inventor), and VR in the future.I a going start with just 1 ROG Swift but I do plan on upgrading to two in the future

Here are my questions:

1: the be quiet! - Silent Base 800 Orange ATX case looks like the top ventilation slits are very small, will this be a problem for the liquid cooler on the top off my case?

2: Is everything compatible?

3: Is the Corsair H100i v2 a good performance cooler for the price, if not, any other suggestions for a good $/performance AIO cooler

4: Any other advice/ suggestions?

Thanks, all advice is appreciated!

Which Samsung ssd is it? And which monitor?

I'd suggest you get a different 1080 ti, that one has a blower cooler so it's hot and loud and is only suitable for small form factor builds.

As for CPU cooler, it's pretty good but the h100i v2 can be a bit loud. If silence is more of your thing the Celsius s24 is very good, though the kraken x62 is also worth a consideration (especially as it comes with your favorite RGB).

Also forgot to mention with such a high end build you might as well get a better psu. A 650w evga g2 or G3 would be a good choice.

I would change the PSU, you can get SeaSonic G 550W

And can you stand the reference cooling temps? My friend can not stand it so he buys NZXT G10 AIO adapter

everything is nice and like the courage to get Asus Swift

Use pcpartpicker.com it helps identify the actual part numbers which do make a difference.

In general, gpu with non-reference coolers tend to be quieter and run cooler.

A 550W - 650W psu is more than sufficient for the build as listed.

when you all are suggesting a better PSU, do you mean a better efficiency (gold, platinum, ect)?

Pretty decent.

Consider getting an EVGA G2 650W psu. Better quality, fully modular. 750W is not enough to handle a second gpu and 650W provides more than enough headroom for overclocking and other upgrades.

I mean by modularity, or check SeaSonic's new Focus Plus Lineup

Yeah, my only suggestions are to get a different 1080 ti, maybe this one

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/cHFXsY/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-11gb-aorus-video-card-gv-n108taorus-11gd

and a better psu like this one

or this one

No. I'm talking about psu quality.

Simply put, PSUs can't deliver a consistent voltage due to shenanigans (if you're interested in why I can explain). Some PSUs do it better than others (deliver a more constant voltage), the EVGA G2 and G3 PSUs I mentioned do it better than the GQ. Unstable voltages can over time kill other electronics in your system; granted with a GQ it's still quite unlikely but it is a possibility, so if you're buying a $3000 pc you might as well pay the extra $20 for that safety and also better warranty (I know the g2 and G3 come with 10 year warranties and evga will compensate you for up to $50000 if the psu kills your system). As well, better PSUs also tend to use better internal components (better fan, better capacitors, etc.) that are less likely to fail very soon.

Alright, with your suggestions on GPU, PSU, and cooler, here's the modified list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hVQqn

Thanks for all the advice!

I would just get a noctua cooler for silence and similar performance to top AIO

I looked at the Noctua NH-D15 and it looked like I wouldn't be able to fit the second fan onto the cooler because of ram and I couldn't place it higher on the cooler because of my case width. Do you think I would in fact be able to fit it?

That is perfect! It isn't that bad too! I mean in terms of smaller size from the non S edition

Why not stick with the H100i v2? It will fit in the case either on top or in the front.

If you want an NH-D15, change the memory kit to Corsair LPX.
