2 reasons generally it will happen. A) overheating which doesnt seem to be happening, or B) Bad Power supply. @STRMfrmXMN @Electronics Wizardy would be able to point you into the direction they seem it could be. I am going for Power Supply since you stress tested and everything was good, assuming temps were fine.

I doubt this is the issue, but what are the VRM temps? An i7 5820K shouldn't bring a board like to it's knees, but maybe the cooler is loose.

Yours faithfully

What programs did you stress test with? Did you use any games to verify your OC? When you say "shut down", do you mean the game or the PC itself?

So temps are all ok and stable. I assume you have tired reinstalling BF1 right? If problem is still there and if you happen to be able to get hold of a extra PSU, try changing the PSU and see if it solves the issue. Just in case the PSU is faulty.

You can have a system run a stress test for 24 hours only to fail during a game. It happens to everyone.

It sounds to me like you're having a power issue, I've had similar problems when Undervolting or Overclocking without providing enough voltage. My guess is that you either didn't stress both the GPU and the CPU, as BF1 tends to stress both, or that you have a bad power supply.

What programs did you use to stress test?

The Potato Box:

AMD 5950X

EVGA K|NGP|N 3090

128GB 3600 CL16 RAM

The Scrapyard Warrior:

AMD 3950x

EVGA FTW3 2080Ti

64GB 3200 CL16 RAM

Generally in my experience with OC problems, you usually get blue screens. I cant ever recall it just shutting down? Only way I could see this is if its drawing to much power, which it shouldnt as he has an RM1000 PSU, which is way overkill for his system.

oc's can fail in weird ways, but its un common. But if you have a stability issue, remove the oc first.

You also have power that has to go through the buck converter on the board so that can also be a issue.

It can also be a bad board or psu, there always duds in a batch.

Alright. Never experienced that personally. Only the blue screens.

HighVRM temps will generally result in a BSOD. Source: tried OCing my 4670K on a B85M-DS3H rev 3 which had a 2+2 phase xD

Your CPU voltage seems insanely low for your clock speeds, I can't imagine that it's high enough. Have you tried raising it? Have you also tried dialing the clock speeds back a little (same goes for voltage)?
