Dear All,

I just noticed that during RealBenching that the temperature reported by ASUS AI Suite is consistently about 10 degrees lower than that of other 3rd party monitoring software (RealTemp, HWMonitor, etc). This only happens when on load, at idle, the temps are consistent. Which is closer to the true value, I err on the safe side and go for the higher readings, but ASUS is the board maker so maybe they know what they're talking about? Your opinion on this matter would be valuable.

CPU is a 7700K @ 4.8 GHz

My temp readings are quite stable and don't jump around like that, but more about the big difference between AI Suite and the others; I wonder if they are calculated/read in a completely different manner?

Its probably there to make sure that the CPU doesn't die, it also makes people more paranoid about there pc. Applications like that don't actually read the temps. Its a controller on the mobo, I believe to be the bios, that reads and calculate the temps, the apps just read that information. I tend to stick with HWmonitor as its compatible with windows 2000 and up. Its also fairly reliable.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
