It's easy to recommend a case for someone to look into, but I feel like it's a lot harder to actually decide on a case yourself.

With the GPU I had in mind for my new PC not being available, it gave me time to doubt my case choice.

I had the Phanteks P400S in mind, but recent experiences from someone i know (with bad airflow/air intake) made me kinda doubt it. I also looked into the NZXT S340 Elite, but I like it less in terms of looks. Would like to hear people's thoughts on its airflow too.

Requirements/what I want:

ATX, full tower/mid tower

Tempered glass side panel

Good airflow (suggestions on how many fans to add where appreciated too)

PSU shroud and not too flashy looks are a plus.

No need for 5,25" bays or watercooling support.

Should I still look into the Phanteks P400S? (other than the airflow thing, it's pretty much the perfect case for myself). What other cases am I overlooking?

Does the Corsair 460X seem like a good options? (I like it less in terms of looks). Am I maybe overthinking this?

Kinda of PC I am planning:

R7 1700 with a good air cooler, gonna run a decent overclock.

Was planning on an RX 580, but than ETH happened and now I am planning on a GTX 1070 or possibly VEGA if it will be good (so just keep in mind a beefy GPU).

If you want a good, affordable case, go with a Deepcool Dukase V2. It also looks pretty sexy if you install an RGB strip.

It's also pretty cheap on NewEgg.

If you think that patience is a virtue, than try streaming on dialup.

Sadly not availble in my region and it has one of those plastic-y side panels which doesn't interest me.

Same window issue as above. I also think it' just way too bulky :P I have looked into the Define C line up, but the no tempered glass option kills it for me.

No. I have the R4 and my 1080ti is choking from lack of air, that's with 2x140mm intake fans running at 12V which is loud as hell, same for one exhaust. Removing side panel drops my temperatures by almost 10°C. R5 and R4 are almost identical besides R5 having better WC support.

I saw the Thermaltake Core G21 Tempered Glass Edition in Gamer Nexus's Vega FE review today. Don't know much about it but just looking at a couple of photos it looks pretty nice and clean. It might be a bit bare in features though.

Thanks for the recommendation :) This case looks like a very good deal and I personally like the looks of it and the mesh front probably helps with airflow.

Plus, tempered glass for that price!

I will have to reconsider my air cooler choice though, the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 is just a couple mm too tall. But that is no big deal.

Gonna have to add some case fan to it, but it has 140mm mounting spots and some 120mm too.

I think I am sold. Except a review on the case in the future I guess (unless something better shows up in this thread).

inb4 thermaltake hate.

The difference is the stock fans
