For the UK anyway. Saw it on some stockists, some as late as 31st August.

I did hear something about card makers releasing mining-focused cards, i.e. no graphic outputs. Might have dreamt that up though.

There are actually a few that are. I believe Asus and sapphire I doing it.

 

I doubt it'll do much though, the big problem is the fabs are unable to produce enough GPUs for the demand. The mining cards still use GPUs from the fabs, so in the end you'll either have a lot or GPUs going towards the mining cards, so that very few actual cards are produced or the mining cards will be sold out pretty quickly and then all the miners will start buying consumer GPUs again.

From what I can see now, these miner cards are no cheaper, if not more expensive than gaming cards. In this case, miners will get the gaming cards since they can resell them as gaming cards in the future, but not with mining only cards.

Same here, except my gpu just died. ARRGGG! Intel integrated suck! Hmph. Sorry to derail the topic. Yes, it looks pretty much the same here in the US. The few cards in stock are ~$400-500usd, for the 580 8g. And used market near me sucks. Sorry mate?

If you're in desperate need of a GPU I'd go for a 1050ti. It's cheap and good performance at 1080p.

 

In all honesty buying a prebuilt computer might be a better value at this point.
