Anyone knows the shortcut virus ?

So my friend gives me his USB stick and i notice it has a shortcut in it so i click it without knowing and coped some files to my computer and my friend says to me after 2 freaking hours that the short cut was a virus.

Now every freaking usb stick i plug into the pc magicly when i open it , YOU GUESSED IT it has a shortcut.

What should i do guys ?

I'm running right now malwaerbytes on my pc and both my usb sticks (which been affected) do you think this will be engough ?
should i do another thing ?
plus  MWB scaned both the USB sticks and it detected this....

That should do it.

 

Just make sure to check other PCs on the same network and check all your USB drives (you never know!)

I would also format the "infected USB" there may be hidden files that are there to prevent the virus being deleted. 

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I would scan all USB drives and your computer. Every drive.

It should be picking up the virus on your own computer as you're also infected.

 

Delete the virus, format the usb drives and restart.

Full scan again.

 

Full scan in around a week as some virus' have an activation period.

It's not a race to the bottom.
