As for inexpensive stuff to collect...Rocks! Just go to the beach or somewhere where there are lots of rocks.

If you don't leave the house for extended periods of time get yourself a plant or two. As awful as it sounds they make excellent companions, I've found that the little maintenance it requires to keep them alive has given me an additional boost to life quality.

I'm getting desperate to find something that will make me happy. I figure that since some of the best times I had as a kid was spent collecting things (Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Pokemon Cards, Beyblades, Bionicles) that I would try and start a new collection. I was collecting the boxes that my antidepressants come in, but it wasn't the same since they were all identical.

 

Do you guys have anything that's relativity inexpensive that I can collect? It could even be something digital if there's anything like that which is fun to collect. I'm just looking for a fun way that I can invest a lot of my time in, but I don't have a lot of money, so the cheaper collecting the things are the better.

 

Take a look at Gunpla (if you are mecha anime fan). Comic Books.

I would be really bad with a plant. I kinda give up on pets after a couple of months. They're never usually mine to begin with, but I love to take care of them until the novelty wears off and they begin to hate me. :P

 

Ah well, I thought the same but they have only made me happy so far. Then again I'm not a very depressed person to begin with so it doesn't take a lot to amuse me.
