that's a usb expander from 2001.

Good, now we know weather your machine has the optional X-Fi card or not.  It doesn't.

You need to go to Device Manager.  In there you will see a listing of devices.  Expand the 'Sound, Video, Game Controllers' one and tell us what's listed.  A screenshot would also be super.

ALSO the speaker icon in the bottom right next to the clock? Right click that and select 'PlayBack Devices'.  It should list all the playback devices that Windows has access too and only one can be set to 'Default' at a time.  Tell us which ones you see and which one is the default.  Again, a screenshot would make this easier than you just telling us.

Well that's interesting.  It doesn't think that it has any analog speakers at all...

Can you go back to device manager and find the driver version that it's using for the High Definition Audio Device?

driver version: 10.0.14393.0

if it just connects using a standard 3.5mm jack (which unless you had a third party sounds card, which we determined you didn't, 3.5mm it will be) then 5.1 will work.

hell here's a 7.1 for $4.45

https://www.amazon.com/Channel-External-Sound-Adapter-Laptop/dp/B01LQENV8G

seems a little bs.

Ok, so you have been using your front panel audio from the sound of it? When you put your new graphics card in, you didn't unplug the front panel header for the audio by accident, did you? It will look something like one of these pictures if you don't know what it looks like.

Have you tried searching or are you not sure how/where to search?

Also, if you want a really good product, but don't want to pay much, you might have a hard time with that. Typically; you get what you pay for.

My motherboard is actually an HP board, so it requires drivers that I can't get, because there is no version for windows 10. so, I need a sound card to make it so I have sound.

If you clean install windows it will probably fix it for you.
