Smallest pc case

Rampakslue

So, I convinced my friend to let me build her a computer instead of looking for a laptop, but her stipulation was that it had to be as small as possible as she is moving to the east coast for college and she can only take what fits into her suitcase. This is my build for her so far ( https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Y9xgf8 ). I'm wondering if there are smaller cases available. Thanks for helping in advance.

Id just get a laptop for college. Is so nice to have something you can bring to class. Something like the dell 7559 or xps 15 is almost as fast, and much smaller.

Or just get a macbook, those are nice laptop for that budget.

I understand what you are trying to do, but being a university student myself, there is a pretty huge value to being able to bring my laptop to class or to the library.  When I wrote my bachelor's thesis I just sat in the library all day and had access to all the literature I needed.

I would be very unhappy without a laptop.

She already has a chromebook that still works pretty well. And for a laptop, she's only willing to spend $700 while if I build her a desktop ( a tiny one) she's willing to spend $1500.

The Node 202 is 10.2 L. You can go much smaller, but you're compromising other various aspects of it. A couple to think about are the A4-SFX (7.1 L), the S4 Mini (4.6 L), but those are both quite expensive if I remember right. I'm working with a SG13B (11.2ish L) right now. I like it more because of it's more cubic shape than the others.
