I have a X370 Killer with 16gb 3200 LPX and a 1600. I wanted to see if I could speed/stability with my overclocks excetera so I updated to BIOS version 2.5 from 2.0.

Immediately my system upon exiting the BIOS. PC shut down completely and then reboot, and then shut down, and then reboot, and then shut down. Until the mobo throws itself into recovery mode and I finally am able to get a post. I cannot even over clock my 1600, nor set my ram speed because it keeps setting itself into recovery mode!

This is my frist ASrock product and I have been having nothing but trouble with it...

Cool story bro but we are not Asrock support.

Also note you're not supposed to touch the BIOS unless you have to. Ryzen is still super new and should be handled lightly. Have you, at the very least, tried clearing CMOS?

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Don't see how this is an Asrock issue. Clear the CMOS by removing the button cell and bridging the CLR_CMOS jumpers/pins.

Yeah, I have. I don't know just frustrated. Haven't got anywhere else to vent, I'll post soon enough on the ASrock forum...

If you were stable re-flash to 2.0. 2.0 supports all CPUs and start from there. I flashed a EVGA i680, I think, and it took me a month to get it right. Luckily you only have a few versions to chose from. I had like twenty. I agree with STRMfrmXMN. Don't ever flash "BIOS" unless you have a clear reason to.

There are 2 killer boards. 2.4 is the first bios, next is 2.5. The bios comes in  both dos or bios format. There is no 2.0

Thats what my old BIOS was, 2.5 was the new one. I just want to revert...

Go by this guide. 2.0 is there. Use dos or in bios flash. Never from OS.

correction 2.3 is there. You can probably get any version you need from Asrock. I'll keep looking.

You need to complete the bios update before you can revert.

Download the bios version and put to usb. Boot into bios and run the ez bios update tool. Click on the info icon in their download page for more details.

Maybe I read it wrong, though it was 2.0...

Ok, anyway download bios version of the bios and put to usb. Boot into bios and run update wizard.

Click on info icon in bios download page for more details. Will have to use another pc to download or your phone running android with a microusb flash drive.
