I ahve a problem on my v-card and my monitor. The cable of my monitor wont fit on my v-card. what should I do?

V-Card : sapphire-vga-pcie-ati-r9-280x-3gb-ddr5-v

monitor plug is:

VGA%20plug.jpg

That is a VGA connector, you will need a DVI connector for it to work with your video card, unless you got a VGA to DVI Adapter.

Your trying to use a VGA cable with a card that doesn't have a VGA port.  You just need an adapter.

Don't know why the pictures didn't show until I hit quote.

You're using VGA and the gpu doesnt have vga. Get DVI.

Usually cards with a DVI-I port come with a DVI-I to VGA adapter.  Otherwise, you will have to purchase one, although I would only do that if that is the only type of connection your monitor accepts.  If your monitor accepts DVI (white) input, I would just buy a DVI cable.

The plug is called a VGA connector.  If you have a DVI plug on the back of your monitor (like the long ports on the back of the V card) I recommend getting a DVI cable.  It is allot more better.  However you can buy a VGA to DVI adapter which will adapt that blue VGA connector into a DVI connector which is what they V card needs.

Are you using the wrong cable?

VGA is always the wrong cable.

If your monitor only has a VGA input then your video card is totally wasted if its the pictured 280X...
