Long story short, the first time I tried installing my ryzen CPU and wraith spire cooler I fucked it up really badly and really bent some pins. So I'm on my second try with another ryzen cpu but this time I bent one pin and I was able to put it back into it's place. But right now I have so much anxiety about fucking it up a second time. Every time I try installing the cooler it ends moving around and sometimes the CPU gets tugged along with it. Now I'm sure I installed it correctly because I matched the triangles and they are aligned. Would it be easier if I got a different cooler? Possibly one more friendlier to amatures?

The cpu shouldn't move once put in, your probalby not putting it in right.

THe stock cooler is easy to put in, your just doing it workng. Maybe ask a friend?

all you need to do is make sure the cpu is secured in place, then place the cooler on top of it, and screw it in. what is bending the pins here? nothing should be moving

So align the corner of the chip with the motherboard, place it in the socket, secure it with the lever. once it is secured with the lever the CPU shouldn' t be able to fall out or move around.

the cooler should just fit on top of the cooler aligning with the 4 screw holes, and you can either punish your fingers and try and turn the impossibly tough screws, or use a screwdriver and secure the cooler too.

taking the motherboard out of the case and placing it on a flat surface might help with the installation so nothing gets in the way

i wonder what went wrong ... the CPU should not be able to move by any means once it is correctly seated in the socket and the lever is pulled down and secured.
