I roll with ms security essentials and malwarebytes, I just cant recommend that you pay for anti virus anymore,

Recommendation list(I put the following on my customers' computers)

AVG free edition(recommend paid version for customers, lets be honest most of them are stupid and will download crap)

Malwarebytes( once again paid version, stop viruses before they get on your pc, not afterwards)

Weboftrust( community driven plugin, it flags bad websites so that you dont fall into a trap).

cpu: intel i5 4670k @ 4.5ghz Ram: G skill ares 2x4gb 2166mhz cl10 Gpu: GTX 680 liquid cooled cpu cooler: Raijintek ereboss Mobo: gigabyte z87x ud5h psu: cm gx650 bronze Case: Zalman Z9 plus

I use bit defender. I like it. You don't really have to remember to scan or anything.

Windows has that built in.

Technicly you dont need one, Windows 8 has an inbuilt one.

Correct. Windows 8 has a native Microsoft Essential built into it. On Windows 7 there's Windows Defender which gets replaced if you install Microsoft Essentials.

I personally use Microsoft Essentials and Malware Bytes.

Everybody knows Norton is the best antivirus. It requires a bit of power, so I'd suggest downloading more ram first.

Seriously, Avast+Malwarebytes+ccleaner= unstopable force of antivirusness!
