Best Noctua CPU Cooler

Just interested to know what the best Noctua CPU coolers are?

I should also ask the expert.

@LinusTech, what Noctua CPU cooler would you recommend?

We should maybe point out that the NH-D14 performs the best, assuming you can fit it. It has been known to have compatibility issues with RAM-slots, this list should give a good overview. 

 

I don't think there's a lot in it between the big tower coolers though, so if the one works, the slightly lesser will probably work too

There isn't a lot of performance difference between, let say, the NH-D14, NH-U14S and NH-U12S, the bigger tower coolers in Noctuas range. If the NH-D14 meets your cooling needs, I think the chances that the NH-U14S/U12S will be sufficient are quite good.

That makes sense. In terms of relative actual cooling though, the NH-D14 is quite a bit better. A few degrees may not seem much but it's all that separates decent heatsinks in the end.
