I just want you guys opinion about rather or not AMD FX-8350 still good? If so, I'll go for that rather than any ryzen or idk :l

Not really, it's ok at Integer math, and Linux compiling when overclocked to around 4.8GHz+, but really it's an old CPU that eats power and spits out heat, even an R5 1400 would probably beat it.

Yours faithfully

No, always buy Ryzen over FX.

Ryzen 1600 = best processor of all if you want to game and general use.

Ryzen 1700 = if you need a workstation.

Ryzen 1400 = still better pick than any FX if you need to save up.

By probably I mean depending on the workload, FX chips still beat Kaby Lake i7's at certain integer and compiling math, I use it for linux because they're just so powerful for said tasks for the price.

It depends for what. It can be a cheaper alternative for some tasks, but with Ryzen's prices it's not going to be the best alternative in the majority of tasks, especially if buying new (an R5 1400 is barely more expensive, so for gaming and other general purposes you wouldn't want a new FX-8350).

I think it's got to the point where if FX was worth it for your use case, you would already know :P  If you need to ask, 99% chances are it's not worth it for you (unless buying used - then it depends on the price).
