Overclock i7 4790k?

How much of an overclock do you think I can get on my i7 4790k. I've had it for a year and a half. I haven't tweaked anything.

I was thinking of overclocking, but how much of an overclock can I can on this cpu?

Most can hit 4.6 to 4.7, mine is sitting at 4.4 with no voltage offset.

At 4.8 @ 1.31. Havent done much more as I don't see a point. I just turn down the voltage a bit and let it do its thing.

4.7 at 1.36v,temps are way too high for 24/7 usage tho,96° on core 1 max with every fan in the system at max(usually run at min rpm to keep it quiet)

I know, I have it set to always run at that turbo frequency, so it's technically OC'd to the turbo at all times

id go straight for 1.375v and 4.8ghz, if you have a good cooler.

Okay so for this I would just go to bios and change the settings right? I don't need to tamper with like ram or anything?

just max out your ram and yes, youll have to go into the bios. dont go over 1.5 volts as thatll almost instantly kill your chip.
