WD Black or Blue for a gaming rig?

Hey! I'm looking to build a new PC. I will be using a 240GB SSD, and a 1TB HDD, the two I am looking at is the WD Black 1TB & Blue 1TB. I've done some research and found out that the WD Blue 1TB is about the same as the WD Black 1TB, but the Blue is $20 cheaper. I've also heard that the Black is more reliable. Out of the two, which one would you guys suggest?

They're both slow so it's kinda a moot point. If you can justify the price difference, go for the better warranty.

What do you mean slow? The Black is specifically made for gaming and has great read and write speeds for a HDD. SSDs are way faster and more exspensive

Slow in relation to an SSD, 2 platter drives with the same amount of cache and rotation speed won't be drastically different from one another in real world use.

The black. It's more durable and faster than a blue, as far as I know. If got a Black laptop drive that's form an old laptop used by some (no names here) of the worst people to ever use computers. Never used a black drive, but the Firecuda in the other PC is a little faster than the old blues I ganked from a retired rig. May get a black myself tbh

I'd go with a Black if you're going at or over the 2TB mark. While the Blue is a great drive the Black is better when it comes scheduling.

You won't notice a difference in load times between a black/blue unless you sit and compare load times side-by-side, and even then the difference isn't worth $20.
