LGA775 cpu UPGRADE

i have a intel dg45id mobo and a e6300 2.8 cpu, im trying to upgrade my cpu on a budget like 50 bucks nut since lga775 is so old i figured i can get something  pretty good for 50ish bucks i have 4 gb and a gtx650ti.. ya its a really old setup i know but its just for now so please and thank you for the help.

I know I can get Q6600 for a few $ (Canadian) ...

grab a core 2 quad.

what about my chipset or w.e i seen something about motherboard chip set that you might not be able to use some cpus depending on chip set

Looks like you should be good up to a q9650

intels website was kind of hard to follow was looking for approved cpu list on it.  I'm sure if you dig around there you will find it to confirm

you should probably flash to the newest available bios if your going to upgrade to a core 2 quad.

q9650s are going for around 50$ on ebay
