1080 or 1070?

hy everyone , sorry but my english sucks ... im italian ...i have to change my graphisc card , now i have the gtx 730 (don't hate me ...) im not sure on what graphics card to buy, i usually play dead by daylight and i work also on this sistem ?? what should i do ?? 1070 or 1080 ?????

If you can afford the 1080 and dont care much for saving the extra money, you may as well go for that as it will last you longer than the 1070.

Anything will be better than the GT 730.

If you play on 1080p resolution then RX 570 4GB/8GB or GTX 1060 6GB will be more than enough for these games.

If you only play Dead by Daylight, get the 1060. If you're really set on the 1070 or 1080, go for the 1070. No point spending more money than needed. Assuming you play at 1080p.

Easy there buddy, a 1070 would be way too much im guessing you have a prebuilt system which would probably have a 400 or 300 watt PSU which wont be able to handle a 1070, let alone a 1080 and im guessing the clearence is gonna be hard, look for the RX 560/550/460 or the GTX 1050 Ti try to get one with no PCIe power cable.

Your English is fine enough for us to understand. :) What are you looking to achieve with your new graphics card?

 

Provide us with a list of your system specs, or at least your processor and amount of memory installed, and let us know what kinds of games you play regularly. If you mostly game at 1080p resolution, you'll be fine with either a GTX 1060 for almost every AAA title currently on the market.

 

The only reason I'd ever recommend a GTX 1070 to someone right now is if you have a surround monitor setup (3 monitors) for something like a flight or racing simulator, you're into VR gaming, or if you've got a 2560x1440p (2.5K) display.

 

I'd never recommend* buying a GTX 1080 (or any other top tier card) because the price to performance curve flattens right out after the 1070, meaning you don't get much more performance for your money. By the time you might want to upgrade, the value of your card will have dropped so much it won't be worth selling since someone could pickup a better performing card for the same money brand new, similar to what happened when the GTX 1080 made TITAN cards absolutely worthless for most people. And yet nVidia still continued to sell the older TITAN cards for more money. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

*unless you have a sack of money to burn on a video card, rather than food, movies, car parts, literally anything else.

considering you have a 6700, id recommend the 1070. youll only get a 20% perf increasy by going with the 1080 and the 1070 is significantly cheaper.
