HELP! monitor displaying bars in shadows

Hello,

 

Today I bought a 1080p monitor LG flatron w2453v pf

and I was watching some youtube videos and i noticed  that all the shadow have wired lines in them and some colors freek out and dots in them i have change the contrast brightens

and restored it to factory settings, its not overclocked ether and I tried multiple cables and ports its only this monitor my other one works fine. 

 

So if you can and help me that would be Great thanks

this happened to my gpu about a year ago, the way i fixed it was taking out the gpu and then reseating it

do a print screen, not snipping tool. Paste picture into paint and save picture. Take picture to another screen or copy the file into your phone and view it from there.

No artifacts like what you have describe, then it's the monitor. Still see the same thing on your phone, then it's your video card.

Are you 100% sure it's the monitor? Does it do the same thing on other PCs, have you tested it? Did you previous monitor work fine on your PC?

 

If you are certain it is the monitor, I don't think there's much you can do to fix it except RMA, that's the risk you take when buying things second hand. Always better to buy straight from the manufacturer or retailer.
