ZOTAC GTX 1060 3gb burned and salvaged

hello im new here and my english is very bad,so im apologize,2 month ago I salvaged my friend gtx 1060 burned,he has replaced a gpu with another one because the warranty of zotac is not valid in our country and there is no official Zotac shop for RMA in my country,here the picture the back of Zotac GTX 1060,is possible to fix this burned,thank :) ?

Where do you live?
What had you done with the GPU? Extreme overclocking?

I'm more curious how the hell did that happen.

Actually I think I know what happen

 

it most likely overclocking gone wrong since the burnt was around the back chipset.

nope he didnt do overclocked and I salvaged this gpu,this GPU went short circuit and burned

What's the PSU he's using?

Did the place he live experiences lots of thunderstorms?

Let me be honest, IMO this is possibly the culprit that caused the GPU to burn so better change it ASAP

 

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER cheap on PSU.

yeah im suprised after I heard he using this psu,im going bring this GPU to the repair shop when I have time

Tell him to change the PSU first, otherwise the next GPU may be damaged too

I have told him to change the psu 2 month ago but he didint reply,I guess he was busy for his rl work

Updatex on 1/6/2017, since im still wondering on this gpu, i decided to try to boot,as i installed and turn on i quickly turn off asi noticed that the fan led spun and didnt fully light,so i took off from my pc and i smell burn from this gpu,then take off a heatsink and gpu hsf,and found a melted chips(the chips woth bloated metal) its seem its got short circuit,so i got lesson learned -3-
