Is it Okay to put a 6600k on a Z270 motherboard?

If you wanted to save a few bucks, you could go down to B350 on the motherboard rather than X370. It shouldn't hurt your overclocking ability as I have 4.0 GHz on my 1600X with an Asus Prime B350 Plus, and it wasn't a fuss to achieve that overclock at all. The biggest reason to buy X370 is for SLI setups.
