the a50 is wireless. ive used wireless headphones for my xbox for the past year and they really get on my nerves. ill hear some kind of static interference every 4-5 minutes. if you are close enough to your console/pc and dont care about having the wired headset than i think the a40s are a much better choice.

it is sad that cheaply made turtle beaches have tainted idea of wireless for all new customers.

current generation wireless technology has improved greatly. my wireless headset is crystal clear with 0 static up till around 30-40 feet for which its kind of tough to be gaming from 30-40 feet away.

for gaming both are fine, but it depends on your environment as to pros and cons, but for the money there are a lot better headphones

​akg q701's are amazing, i have them and astros and i regret the astros, i only use astros now when i need a mic
