Hey there,

I'm helping a buddy with a Ryzen build and I'm looking at which RAM I should purchase for him. Suffice to say, his budget does NOT allow $200 for 16GB of FlareX RAM from Gskill. I want to be able to run his ram at speeds of 3000/3200 on his system and I want to know if you think THIS RAM would be compatible with Ryzen to do that. (click this)

Feel free to link similarly-priced RAM that would be a better option as well.

G.Skill RAM and Corsair are popular, that should be good enough. Corsair Vengeance RGB is around $130 now for 16GB variant

Mention me if you want to summon me sooner or later

It will not most likely judging by the name but I can't say for sure as RAM compatibility is the issue with mobo so you need to tell ua which motherboard. I have seen most Corsair Vengeance RAM that are compatible have "14" in its model name

I have the x370 SLI Plus by MSI https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-3200MHz-Desktop-Memory/dp/B0143UM4TC/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1495385231&sr=1-1&keywords=ddr4%2B3200&th=1

3200Mhz CL14 is usually always Samsung die, which will work at rated speed

3200Mhz CL16 is iffy. if it uses Hynix die, then it might only run at 2966 until you get AGESA 1.0.0.5 or 1.0.0.6. but eventually, I have faith in AMD that they will allow Micron and Hynix dies to run at rated speed.
