Honor 8 not v8. Plus, the other phones are better, but also more expensive. I'd agree with you that the H8 is an excellent phone for the price, used one myself sometimes but he said only the ones from this list.

I know, I just wanted to give my two cents on the matter but from the list I would go for the P10 personally

Android isn't all the same, in the sense that the software load can make quite a difference. I really hate using my work S6 for example with all the things Samsung have forced upon it. I prefer a more pure android experience, so that may be a consideration too.

Are you limited to the ones on the list? If not, I'd also consider:

  • HTC U 11
  • ZTE Axon 8 (upcoming)
  • OnePlus 5 (upcoming)
  • Zenfone 4s (upcoming)
  • Google Pixel
  • Sony XZ Premium

As for the ones you've listed.

LG G6

  • I'd avoid this one because of potential bootloop issues. It's happened with more than one handset, so until they can prove they've changed I'd probably stay clear.

Samsung S8

  • Great camera, battery life, potentially more fragile. No dual camera is kind of a bummer.

HTC 10

  • Don't bother, get something newer.

Huawei P10

  • They're usually quite good, I'd check the reviews to see how the camera performs. But Leica is a great brand to have behind them (provided they still are).

Samsung S7 Edge

  • If you can get it cheap, sure it's a great device. If you're paying almost full price, get something newer.

HTC U Ultra

  • Horrible device. Too big for the screen size, tiny battery with poor battery life, no headphone jack even though there's room, it's just an all around poorly designed phone.

I'd go with the S8, like everyone else, with the S7 Edge coming in a very close second.

It is a shame that flagships have such big issues. I was planning on getting the S8, since I have an S7 and am absolutely loving it, but I wanted to see if other flagships or worth checking out..

Not all flagships do. There are lots of good ones. OnePlus, for example, should be pretty good this year. The HTC U11 looks good. ZTE has had a solid showing last year, and this year should be good as well. Asus has come leaps and bounds over the years, and they're probably what I'm most looking forward to seeing coming from Computex.
