Did you plug in the HD Audio plug?

You talking about the 3.5mm jack at the back on the motherboard or the jack on top of the case?

 

If jack at the back, try plugging it in all the holes...

 

if jack on top, chances are you forgot to plug the audio cable from the case onto the motherboard

I don't have speakers there are Jacks on the side that s it

If you connect your TV directly to your PC, in that case you get the sound through HDMI, you don't have to touch the 3.5mm jack at all.

 

Configure the graphics card to output sound through HDMI (have to install the HDMI sound driver when install the graphics card driver). After that just rightclick on your sound icon on the system tray and choose the output sound device as HDMI
