Need help deciding what to upgrade

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone could help me with upgrading my PC.

I bought my PC nearly 2 years ago and my components are listed below:

CPU: i5 4690k (at standard clock)

MoBo : Asus z97-p

GPU : MSI GTX 960

PSU : EVGA 500W

RAM: Corsair Vengance 8 GB

Cooling : Standard Intel CPU cooler (I know its bad, i want a new one, any suggestions?)

               2 intake fans on front

               1 pushing out on back

Any help would be appreciated

- 4770k or 4790k is a good upgrade

- newer psu

- a rx580 for cheap or gtx 1070, 1080, 1080ti or wait for vega.

for a cooler DH-14 or darkrock pro 3 or AIO- X62 or h100i.

Gpu for sure. Anything else won't improve your performance.

The Ram add another 8gb for 16gb  & CPU 4770k or 4790k which ever one you can find cheapest & Hyper 212 evo for the cooler.

I doubt another 8gb will give a major increase in performance, but a new gpu will help a lot. I'd recommend getting a new cpu if you have the budget.

Then the gpu for sure. A cpu upgrade would only be warranted if you were going to a really high end GPU like a 1080 or above or you are doing other things besides gaming that need more threads.
