TN Or IPS ?

Do I really need an IPS type Monitor? I'm not a heavy gamer, I only play games like WoWs and CS:GO but "sometimes" (like twice a week or so) I like to edit and record stuffs for content creation. Do I really need an IPS monitor for that?

If you get yourself a good TN panel then not really. If you enjoy high refresh rates and a pretty good TN go for the viewsonic xg2401

You don't need it, but it's definitely nice to have. IPS has come down a lot in price, so unless you're going for high refresh rates, it doesn't cost much more than TN does, so there's not really any reason to not go with an IPS monitor.

Plus IPS looks SO GOOD.

 

Even in just videos or playing games, the difference is incredible.

I would get it even just for the better viewing angles of the ips panels, i hate that every tn shifts colours and so on depending on viewing angles. But yeah you could live with that...

The IPS monitor that I saw doesn't have an HDMI input is that okay? I forgot what it was though but it was an Asus Monitor. 
I don't really have that much cash left and I only have a maximum of $145. The monitor I saw was $145
