You might have a malicious extension that doesn't want you to remove it, thus when it sees you going to download malwarebytes, it shows you something to make you doubt yourself. It's also possible that it hijacked the page so the thing you download really is a "virus" but... I don't think that's the case.

You're welcome to criticize grammar, but at least use proper grammar while you're at it, yeah? Subject-verb agreements; if your subject is plural, your verb is singular. 

 

TetraSky is correct; I'd personally go so far as to verify the file hashes before installing it in case there's a malicious application or extension tampering with everything you download. If you want to go so far as to verify file hashes (best way to verify the download hasn't been tampered with), the file hash for "mb3-setup-consumer-3.0.6.1469-10103.exe" just downloaded from their site, the md5 hash should be 050DFA15D623A59D2E473CD943B4E77B.
