Cannot get into asus motherboard bios

Go to solution Solved by kb5zue,

Try alternating between the DELETE key and the F2 key.  Keep pressing the keys for several seconds alternating back and forth.  That should work.

I was able to get into the bios before but for some reason I cannot seem to get into the bios anymore on my asus z170-e motherboard  I keep pressing delete when it says so but it just ignores it and boots into Windows, I am using a corsair k70 lux (non rgb) which has some bios compatibility modes but they don't seem change anything, ive tried using various usb and p/2 keyboards but none worked (the p/2 keyboards were not even detected in windows). Is it a rookie mistake or is my board dead (had it for about a week or so).
