ryzen editing and steaming pc

I am building a ryzen gaming and editing pc. my budget is about 1000usd i have been debating on the case i have 2 in mind the DIYPC Cuboid-r or the Thermaltake corev21. if there is anything else i should change with the build please tell me.

Looks good but I would get an ultrawide like the 29UM68-P since the extra resolution gives a lot of benefit in content creation, my brother and I personally prefer it to use applications like Sony Vegas a lot more then the conventional 16:9 monitors... you still get 75~85hz of refresh rate which already makes a big change.

 

I personally don't see how 144hz would benefit content creation or even gaming for the matter unless you're going to be hardcore CS:GO player, ultrawide gives the best gaming experience / immersion.

 

Also get a cheap SSD for boot driver, that makes huge difference in Windows performance and responsiveness.

Although pcpartpicker lists it as 60hz that is only through HDMI, if you use DisplayPort you can get 80hz easy

i want  to save some money and have more storage for my videos that i will edit

An SSD is essential these days, just get a 50$ 120/128 gb one and install windows and small programs on it.

Well this is the best monitor for editing and gaming, streaming it wouldn't as good since the different aspect ratio, but really is it worth compromise the best experience in editing and gaming solely for you 1 stream viewer?

Higher resolution will most certainly provide a better experience than higher refresh rate if you're into single player gaming, the 144hz only makes sense on really high paced E-Sports, for campaign gaming you'll have a much nicer exprience on 2560x1440p and the GTX 1070 is quite capable of it.

I would personally save up for it, the worse thing you can do is get something worse that will be stuck with you for years to come feeling that "regret" for not being patient... trust me I feel it way too often

If you can't afford it by any means at least I give you the suggestion to partition the HDD, have a 100gb partition for your Windows and essential programs, so when you do manage to buy a SSD you can just copy this specific partition to the SSD and make it your new boot drive, the secondary partition for the games and all the rest.

In the cost-to-performance department you're pretty much making the best for your dollar I can assure you of that, this build is solid in every way for its price, you'll have a much superior gaming experience than you would from consoles (in fact you can even connect it to a TV, use a generic cheap gamepad and play as if it was a console) while having a respectable workstation ready for moderate level content creation.

My friends believe this computer is going to be trashy i told them it would be as trashy as an alien ware if it was trashy.

AMD has finally beaten Intel on this very current line ups for CPU, the 1600 will give you the performance of an i7 7700 / i7 6800k for so much less

 

Don't let any one foal you this is an extremely respectable build, then again a shame you can't squeeze that SSD, it would boot up in 5 seconds tops with one and super duper fast boot ups are always really cool to "show off"
