Hey guys so i booted up my daughters pc for the first time today. Running SLI Evga super clocked 980's.

I downloaded the latest drivers. and Evga precision x. And i was seening one card running at under 200mhz

The other card was in the 1000s is this normal for SLI. First build running sli.

There is a good chance that the program doest support sli.

i only tested mine craft it was the first time booting the system so i was mostly setting it up but im under how the sli config will work,

Minecraft doesn't support SLi. Don't think it does anyway. 

 

Also Enable SLi in the Nvidia control panel.

Heaven and valley. Also turn on the overlay and all the options. That way you can see exactly what each card is doing. Easier to diagnose a problem that way. 

 

In the benchmarks the res won't matter as much but I know if I try to sli at a low res such as 1080, the cards won't try unless they have to. I know 980's didn't on a single screen.

No they will both work the same load. Some games may be so easy to run that they sit at 50% or what ever.
