Why 1080p needs more CPU than 4k

Even your test shows the 1800x offered better than playable framerates, the disparity is pointless without a way to use it.

 

The topic is about it being a waste of money to buy a 7700k if all you intend to do is game at 4k.

Stuck on Intel? I plan on getting a 7700K and game around 1440P/4K anyway. Not worth the time to sell current stuff and replacing board for Ryzen imo.

Completely different situation, and the point of the topic is that your 6500 is fine, there's no need to upgrade if you stay at 4k.
