Tired of google chrome and it's 4-5 instances all running at the same time even when I only have 1 tab open, seriously they just sit there at like 4% cpu usage each just hogging it all up. I need a browser that won't do that, ideas? (using it to read chat on my stream, literally that's it, so all those google tabs, are not needed)

Look at them... greedy little pigs. http://prntscr.com/f2wmry

You could try Midori.

Lynx is probably the least resource intensive browser. Because it's a text-only browser. As in, you're going to be browsing the internet on a command line interface.

Midori is great, don't get me wrong, but unless you're on Linux it seems to be REALLY hit and miss if it'll work. Maybe I'm just retarded, but on the 6-7 machines I've tried it on, it refuses to work unless it's Linux.

Overall lightweight would probably be SeaMonkey, though I'm not sure how up-to-date it is. Other than that, Firefox or Vivaldi.

And firefox isn't any better, sometimes its small and not noticeable, other times its cranking itself up to like 28% usage. Hmm... edge maybe?

Edge is only at 4% with 1 instance so far, let me try it with a test stream see how it runs with a playback going. I can always pause the playback to save resources, my biggest thing is needing a proper sized chat, I hate using my phone, and don't own a laptop.
