I plan on making YouTube videos in the future and edit videos with pro. Will this CPU do the job

and also will it go together with this motherboard?

You can edit vidoes on almost anything these days, hardware doesn't matter, content does. I have editing vidoes on 10 year old systems just fine.

For the cpu, it works in that board, but id get a 7700k instead, its a bit better in all ways

Id also look at a r7 1700

If you're getting a z270 motherboard why not just get the 7700k? they cost the same as the 6700k more or less everywhere... and yes it is sufficient for recording, editing, rendering normal youtube videos, but if you plan on live streaming the r7 1700 would be superior.

while that CPU would work fine for video editing, I would suggest getting either a r7 1700 and an AM4 motherboard or get a i7 7700k

hell yes. try to go with a ryzen platform, maybe a 1700x, and make sure you have a good GPU for rendering and stuff

Being one of the highest end i7's I'd hope so.
But since the Kaby lake is out, Id suggest getting the new model.

ryzen paired with gtx1070 should be more than enough.

OMG yes. try not to get the strix card though. it's more $$$ for RGB. and, all 1070 models are around the same GB and clock speed. just try going with the cheapest 1070 avalible. EVEN A 1050 Ti WOULD WORK GOOD!

Depending on what type of content you are doing, I'd either go with:

R7 1700 with an X370 motherboard or

R5 1600 with an X370 (or B350 if you don't plan to SLI/crossfire).

No real need to go higher than either of those for price to performance.

if you stick with Intel, I'd do the 7700K with a nice Z270 motherboard.  That's the route I took, and have no regrets, as I also do YouTube.

Midnight Rig - CPU: i7-7700K / Cooler: Corsair h100i V2 / Motherboard: AsRock Z270 Taichi / RAM: G.Skill TridentZ 3200Mhz / GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW2 / SSD: Crucial MX300 525GB / HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm / PSU: EVGA Supernova B2 750W
