Tablet for kids

Donut417

My sister want to purchase 2 Android tablets for her kids. She doesn't want to really spend more than $60 USD a piece. So I need suggestions on a piece of shit tablet, that is not too much of a piece of shit. I realize you get what you pay

for but she is on a budget. Mainly the kids will be using Kids Youtube. Maybe some games.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Not sure she wants to buy used. Because the new price on Amazon is quite a bit over the budget. Ill have to ask her if she will consider a used tablet. Though Im worried about the battery charging issues and the Deep Sleep issue with the Nexus 7.

i would say huddle, but you are not UK.

Try so get a bit of a better budget, you aren't going to get much with $60, and it will be almost unusable.

Better to have nothing for some time and then have something amazing than have something shit bt not have to wait for it.

Issue again is, my sister made purchases because of their previous tablets. She doesnt want to purchase apps again. Personally, I think shes going to have to up to budget. Because I dont think its reasonable to find a tablet at the price, but Im trying to be a good brother and recommendations. I guess we will choose what ever cheap Chinese brand that Amazon has and hope it works.

It's based on Android 4.4. For Play Store? Probably no. they sell apps on their own site.

What she has purchased is tied to her Google Account. Once she logs, she can just download it.

I know how Android works. It just some of these cheap tablets dont have Play Store support. Company needs to have some agreement with Google to have access. I used to work for a Google Contractor so I know how the process works. The biggest issue, is Amazon does not offer the play store which is what she will need. Personally Im tempted to give the kids my old ass Motorola Xoom. The only issue, is its a very old version of Android.

Most of the new cheap tablets runs on 4.4 so she will have to up her budget or get a single tablet and tell her kids to share.

A Galaxy Tab E Lite would do, but its over the $60 price limit. There are some even cheaper Proscan/Polaroid tablets as well. Fred Meyer in the PNW has them super cheap, but they're total garbage obviously.
