D-Link 320-L CIFS issue

I'm hoping someone can help here as I've been banging my head against the keyboard for ages with this.

 

I have a D-Link ShareCenter 320-L but for some reason I can no longer transfer large files (e.g. 2GB+) over CIFS through Windows Explorer.
FTP and AFP work but are not ideal, Even after updating to the 1.09 Firmware I have no success.

 

Does anyone have any clues that might help?
(Besides building my own NAS PC, That's a future project when budget becomes available)
