Posted April 20, 2017 What ram can hit high frequencies on an Asus X370 pro with an r7 1700? The Ripjaws V currently cost 130€ for 16gb while the flare x cost 200€. Posted April 20, 2017 The FlareX's will be more likely to reach that speed. With that said I went with 2400mhz FlareX's because with a midrange graphics card faster ram is negligible. Posted April 20, 2017 I have Ripjaws V 3200 MHz DIMMs, but I can only get them stable at 2400 MHz on my Asus B350 Prime Plus mobo. Granted, I'm only using the XMP profile using Asus's translation of it (DOCP), and just lowering the frequency until it runs. So I haven't done any manual tinkering.
