Phone is dead

I have a HTC Desire 626 and have for about a year and a half. But today I was using it and it randomly shut down while at 65% and will not turn on. I have charged it and done everything my limited skill set can provide me with and all that happens is it vibrates like I got a notification every 13 seconds. Please help.

I tried it and it did not work again. Should I just get a new phone?

Have you tried the very obvious and remove the battery for a short time? I have an old phone myself and it regularly freezes or shuts down. I just have to remove the battery shortly and it works fine. (Buying a new one soon )
