ASUS ROG MARS 760 PICTURED

Here is the first picture of the upcoming ASUS ROG MARS 760.

ROG MARS 760 is equipped with two GK104-425 GPUs offering a total of 2304 CUDA cores. Both processors are connected through PLX PEX8747 chip, delivering the best possible performance for such configuration. MARS will also support Quad-SLI.

There’s also a new picture released by HardwareLuxx showing its PCB. You can see Kepler GK104 GPU, the PLX chip and 12-phase DIGI+ VRM. Card will require two 8-pin power connectors.

Now let me give you a glimpse of what ROG MARS is going to offer. It has a dual-fan DirectCU II cooling solution with a heat sink for each GPU, a backplate, and even a glowing MARS logo.

From what I’ve heard, ROG MARS 760 is faster than all single-GPU cards. How will it perform in comparison to GTX 690 and HD 7990? You need to wait till Tuesday to know.

It seems odd to make a mid range card like this into a special edition ROG. Why not a 780Ti MARS?

there are a few cards with 3 dvis. Mostly those are nvidia dual gpu cards like the 690/590. I think the old Mars had 3 dvis aswell.

This might give sick performance. Especially in quad sli.

Let's say it can max Crysis 3 at 60fps ( just example.) Now add the other chip 120fps. So multiply that by 4 and you get what. Around 480 fps. See what I mean.

SLI doesn't scale like that... Adding a second card gives about 80% increase for a total of 180%. Then for 3 cards you get maybe 50% so total 230%. See where this is going?

I have SLI 760s they're very very powerful.  If it's priced right it will be a huge powerhouse.

they're saving it for the R9 290 dual gpu card

Reminds me of the Evga 560ti 2win, as it was also a strange dual gpu card with 2 mid range cards instead of 2 high end. For this card, if asus can price it decently it may make a good option for itx builds, but besides that, I can't really see much point to it.

Dual 770's already exist. (To a certain extent but it's true) 690..

690.. Just lower clocked on the Mem and missing GPU boost, etc.
